ABSTRACT: Assessing the role of early childhood education in supporting LGBTQ+ inclusivity is crucial for fostering acceptance and understanding from a young age. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs influence children's attitudes towards LGBTQ+ inclusivity. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in children's understanding of diversity, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of inclusivity activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in children's behavior towards LGBTQ+ peers. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants, allowing for a broad assessment of the topic. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 4-6 years, engaged in inclusivity education programs, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Enugu State, known for its commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's understanding of diversity, the effectiveness of inclusivity activities, and positive changes in behavior towards LGBTQ+ peers. The study recommended integrating LGBTQ+ inclusivity education into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively deliver these programs.
